Compass Call mission reaches milestone

SOUTHWEST ASIA – The 4,591 prop shaft horsepower of two Allison T56-A-15 turboprops kicks up dust and pebbles from the parking ramp during an EC-130H Compass Call reverse engine thrust as it backed into position at an air base in the Persian Gulf Region March 18, 2008. Aircraft tail number 1586 is deployed from the 55th Electronic Combat Group out of Davis-Monthan Air Force Base, Ariz., and was flown on the 43rd Expeditionary Electronic Combat Squadron’s 2,276th combat sortie marking the Arizona-based unit’s fourth consecutive year deployed supporting the Global War on Terror.
