The Airman & Family Readiness Center is the cornerstone of the Offutt AFB family support system, helping families and singles achieve readiness and enhance their quality of life. All services are free. There is a direct relationship between a member's ability to successfully accomplish a mission, and the quality of life his/her family experiences. Because of this relationship, many services are available to promote a positive family environment. The A&FRC also helps commanders and base leaders meet their responsibilities for the health and welfare of the Total Force.

SEXUAL ASSAULT RESPONSE VICTIM REPORTING OPTIONS

Restricted Reporting -- ensures medical care, treatment and counseling without notifying command or law enforcement officials. You keep the control, over the release of information regarding your case. 
The Process: 

  • Contact SARC at (402) 232-9999 
  • Command is not notified 
  • SARC or Victim Advocate attends to victim needs--provides supportive services 
  • Victim can make unrestricted reporting decision at a later date

If you have been assulted

If you have been sexually assaulted or think you have been: 

  • Go to a safe location away from the attacker.
  • Call 911 if you are in an emergency situation.
  • Contact your local Sexual Assault Response Coordinator (SARC) Victim Advocate (VA) at (402) 232-9999, or healthcare provider.
  • Seek medical care as soon as possible. Even if you do not have any visible physical injuries, you may be at risk of becoming pregnant or acquiring a sexually transmitted disease.
  • Ask the healthcare provider to conduct a sexual assault forensic examination (SAFE) to preserve forensic evidence.
  • If you suspect you had been drugged, request that a urine sample be collected.
  • Preserve all evidence of the assault. Do not bathe, wash your hands or brush your teeth. Do not clean or straighten up the crime scene.
  • Write down, tape or record by any other means all the details you can recall about the assault and your assailant.

Main Objective: 

Promote readiness, health, and wellness through the prevention and treatment of substance misuse, abuse, and dependence.

What we offer: 

- Targeted educational outreach on alcohol/drug use and DUI prevention 
- Brief counseling focused on preventing unhealthy substance use Comprehensive substance use evaluations Evidence-based outpatient treatment for alcohol/drug abuse and dependence Case management
- ADAPT staff can make an educational presentation at your unit or if you would like to schedule an evaluation, please call ADAPT at (402) 294-7411 

All of our services are currently available to active duty members. Government Service (GS) and non-appropriated funds (NAF) employees may be seen for an initial evaluation if they screen positive for drugs or have work-related substance related misconduct. On a space available basis, the evaluation can be completed in ADAPT clinic, at no cost to the employee.

The mission of the Red Cross Service to the Armed Forces is to provide humanitarian support to service members, veterans and their families around the clock, around the globe, under the same trusted symbol.

The American Red Cross provides emergency communications between the service members and their families during times of emergency, as well as access to financial assistance. The American Red Cross also offers training such as Coping with Deployment and Reconnection Workshops to help families before, during and after deployments. The Red Cross also offers opportunities to serve other by volunteering. All services are free.
