The 55th Civil Engineer Squadron is comprised of 246 professionals in an all-civilian unit. The squadron provides ACC's largest flying wing with engineering, environmental compliance, housing, facility and infrastructure maintenance, emergency management, and fire protection to enable operations of 4 National Airborne Operations Center E-4Bs, 27 RC/WC/TC-135 aircraft, and the U.S Strategic Command & Control Facility. The squadron manages a $50 million budget in support of 7.2 million square feet of facilities dispersed over 4,027 acres.

Housing Management Office

The 55th Contracting Squadron provides acquisition support on services, construction, and supplies for the 55th Wing and over 50 associate units including U.S. Strategic Command, 557th Weather Wing, and the 95th Wing. The squadron is comprised of a command section and four flights: Installation Support, Construction, Specialized, and Plans and Programs.

The squadron performs as a business advisor to customers on mission requirements. It maintains worldwide contingency contracting capability in support of national taskings. Additionally, the squadron ensures legal contractual compliance and promotes positive small business opportunities.

The 55th Force Support Squadron consists of ten flights. Each flight is dedicated to supporting ACC's largest Wing and a 57,000 person military/retiree community with quality service.

The 55th Logistics Readiness Squadron delivers worldwide logistics to support the strategic missions at Offutt AFB. Comprised of 271 civilian and military logistics professionals, the squadron provides comprehensive logistics support to the 55th Wing and Offutt AFB, structured into four flights: Deployment and Distribution, Fuels Management, Materiel Management and Vehicle Management. The LRS orchestrates the mobility machine, validates deployment readiness, coordinates 24/7 air and ground transportation requirements, sustains aviation and ground fuels infrastructure, delivers round-the-clock supply support, and maintains Offutt’s entire vehicle fleet. The Warhorses move Offutt!

The 55th Security Forces Squadron, protects and defends Offutt Air Force Base personnel and resources which include the National Airborne Command Post, four Presidential support aircraft and other C3 platforms valued over $9.1billion, through the application of weapons systems security; police services; combat arms; information, industrial, and personnel security; military working dogs; air base defense; and antiterrorism operations 24 hours a day/seven days a week. 

The unit encompasses three installation entry points, a Visitor Control Center, law enforcement patrols, flight line security, an investigative branch, Combat Arms Training and the wing antiterrorism office. Members of the unit conduct law enforcement and community policing functions throughout the base and the Offutt Military Family Housing community. This includes enforcing all speed limits and rules of the road. 

The Security Forces Pass and Registration & Visitor Control Center office is located adjacent to the STRATCOM Gate at 601 Butler Blvd, inside Bldg. 478.  Office hours are 0700 - 1600 / Monday - Friday, with closures during Federal Holidays, Command Family Days, and Wing Goal Days. Customer services provided include: Visitor passes, Contractor cards, Veteran’s Health ID card registration, Special event entry authorization lists, Restricted area badges and Virtual out-processing for outbound personnel.
