The 55th Contracting Squadron provides acquisition support on services, construction, and supplies for the 55th Wing and over 50 associate units including United States Strategic Command, 557th Weather Wing, and the 95th Wing. The squadron is comprised of a command section, a contingency deployment cell and five flights: Installation Support, Construction, Specialized, and Plans and Programs.

The squadron performs as a business advisor to customers on mission requirements. It maintains worldwide contingency contracting capability in support of national taskings. Additionally, the squadron ensures legal contractual compliance and promotes positive small business opportunities.
