The Convair B-24 Liberator was a heavy bomber powered by four Pratt & Whitney 1,200 horsepower engines. It had a gross weight of 65,000 pounds, a 10-man crew, and a top speed of 300 mph. In addition to being used as a bomber, B-24s also served a variety of other functions, including an experimental air refueling tanker and cargo airlifter.
