OFFUTT AIR FORCE BASE, Neb. -- The 55th Wing Public Affairs office, responsible for studio photography, recently streamlined the appointment process and updated its hours of operations to better serve the needs of Team Offutt and the unit’s staff.
Before the recent change, appointments were made over the phone and the associated paperwork had to be emailed to the customer.
“This new process is much more efficient for not only the customer, but also our staff,” said Tech. Sgt. Rachelle Blake, 55th Wing Public Affairs command information NCO in charge. “We think everyone will really like the new system.”
PA is now using Setmore, a free online appointment scheduling calendar software, to book and manage appointments. Customers can access Setmore by downloading the app or visiting https://www.offutt.af.mil/ and clicking on the button, “Click here to schedule a studio appointment.”
“With the new site, the customer can see all of our available appointments first-hand, find directions to the office and pull down the associated paperwork directly, cutting out the middle person,” Blake said. “Our goal is to make the process easier on the customer and alleviate any unneeded steps on our end.”
The photo studios new office hours are Monday through Thursday 8 to 11 a.m. and 1 to 4 p.m. The studio is closed on Fridays.
“By extending our day to 4 p.m., we can service an additional scheduled appointment or two walk-ins,” said Dana Heard, 55th Wing PA photojournalist. “Also, by moving our start time up, we can better accommodate customers who desire an earlier appointment while still allowing the photographer to perform pre-shoot setup like charging batteries and checking equipment functions.”
Services offered by appointment are official portraits, full length photos and Department of the Army photos.
Walk-in services are offered during regular business hours for Isolated Personnel Report photos, For Official Use Only passport photo, flight suite or Airman Battle Uniform official portraits.
