The 55th Comptroller Squadron is encouraging their Offutt Air Force Base customers to use the Comptroller Services Portal (CSP) for quick answers.

Customers can get answers without waiting in line or dealing with traffic. To access the portal, personnel will need a Common Access Card and an internet enabled computer with a CAC reader.

"We are now able to digitally assign work and track which technician has the documents. This has greatly improved our accuracy and timeliness in ensuring the base populace is aided correctly," said Tech. Sgt. Jeff Shelton, 55th CPTS acting flight chief.

Shelton said the online portal has done an amazing job in helping their office track military and civilian pay, travel documents, and it also helps with workflow efficiency.

“As the financial operations flight commander, my favorite aspect of CSP is that it allows members to submit inquiries to our office 24/7,” said 1st Lt. Bradford Ashby, 55th CPTS. “I also appreciate the flexibility it provides members to securely upload documentation all while eliminating the need for a walk-in appointment with our office.”

Finance Airmen review all online inquires and directly correspond with customers via CSP’s automated emailing system. However, finance recommends going to unit representatives for initial inquiries for Defense Travel System and Government Travel Card before reaching out to CPTS.

“CSP allows the 55th CPTS to support every Airmen on Offutt Air Force Base, regardless of what shift they are on or how far away they are,” said Airman 1st Class Bobby Baker, 55th CPTS, financial operations technician.

“As a senior enlisted leader my favorite part about CSP is that it provides a level of transparency to all interested parties,” said Senior Master Sgt. Gerry Volcy, 55th CPTS senior enlisted leader.

Volcy said using the portal ensures there’s a timestamp paper trail that helps with document control, which can be an issue in any finance office.
