After transitioning operations limited its access since October 2021, the Airman’s Attic is ramping up operations starting Jan. 18, 2022.

The Airman’s Attic, which is located on the ground floor of Building D, will be open Tuesdays and Thursdays from noon to 4 p.m.

“We are very appreciative of the support and patience as we’ve worked through a host of behind the scenes regulatory issues,” said Chief Master Sgt. Leslie Dye, 45th Reconnaissance Squadron senior enlisted leader. “But we are very pleased to say that that is done, and we are ready to get back to the business of taking care of our junior Total Force enlisted.”

The Airman’s Attic is a place where any military member E-6 and below and their family can take home various donated items at no cost.

“Although it is called the Airman’s Attic, we are open to all services, to include our guard partners in the rank of E-6 and below, and their dependents” Dye said. “Our inventory has changed some during the shutdown, and our donations moving forward will be a little more limited, but we want to continue to provide the best service that we can.”

Plans for expanded days and hours are in the works, but that is dependent on more volunteer support.

“Additional days and times will be posted on the Airman’s Attic Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/Offutt-AFB-Airmans-Attic-113735470381288/) when we can staff them,” Dye said.
