CMSgt Andrea L. Scheving serves as the Senior Enlisted Leader, 55th Operations Group, Offutt Air Force Base, Nebraska. She advises the Group Commander on all issues regarding the readiness, morale, welfare, and proper utilization of the enlisted force. Additionally, she provides leadership and guidance to 11 squadrons and three detachment commanders responsible for more than 3,000 military, civilian, and contracted personnel. Chief Scheving assists the commander in executing global airborne intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance missions directed by the President, Secretary of Defense, Joint Chiefs of Staff, Combatant Commanders, and national intelligence agencies. The group’s units operate five separate mission design series aircraft in five global areas of operations.
CMSgt Scheving grew up in Waukon, Iowa. She entered military service in July 2003 in Des Moines, Iowa as an Airman Basic. That same year she graduated from Air Force Basic Military Training and attended Air Traffic Controller School at Keesler AFB, Mississippi and graduated in January 2004. She has held a variety of positions including Radar Approach Control Watch Supervisor, Tower Watch Supervisor, Noncommissioned Officer in Charge of Air Traffic Control Training, NCOIC, Training, Standardization and Evaluation, Radar Approach Control Assistant Chief Controller and Radar Approach Control Chief Controller. Her assignments include bases in North Carolina, Korea, United Kingdom and Missouri. In addition, CMSgt Scheving has deployed in support of Operation IRAQI FREEDOM and Operation NEW DAWN. Prior to her current position, she was assigned as the Senior Enlisted Leader, 334th Training Squadron, at Keesler AFB, Mississippi.
