Chief Master Sergeant Jayson A. Feilmeier

Chief Master Sergeant Jayson A. Feilmeier is the Senior Enlisted Leader of the 55th Communications Group, Offutt Air Force Base, Nebraska. He advises the commander on all issues affecting the health, morale, quality of life, readiness, management, effective utilization and professional development of 384 military and civilian personnel. Chief Feilmeier is the Functional Manager for Offutt's Cyber professionals providing a wide array of base communications and technology support for the 55th Wing and 49 associate units, including the 557th Weather Wing and Headquarters, United States Strategic Command.

Chief Feilmeier entered the Air Force in August of 1994 as an Aircraft Armament Systems Apprentice on the F-15E Eagle. In September of 1998, Chief Feilmeier retrained into the Ground Radio Maintenance specialty. He has served in various assignments as a weapons load crew member, weapons load crew evaluator, unit training manager, air traffic control communications technician, communications planner, branch chief, flight chief and squadron superintendent. His assignments include locations in Idaho, North Carolina, the Republic of Korea, the United Kingdom, Maryland, Hawaii and Arizona. Prior to his current assignment, he served as the Squadron Superintendent of the 606th Air Control Squadron at Aviano Air Base in Italy. In addition, he has deployed in support of Operations SOUTHERN WATCH, ENDURING FREEDOM, INHERENT RESOLVE and FREEDOM'S SENTINEL.
