Colonel ROBERT K. CLEMENT

Colonel Clement is the Commander of the 55th Maintenance Group. He leads 1,200 personnel providing maintenance to 33 aircraft comprised of variations of 2 different aircraft. He is also responsible for executing an annual budget of $9.3 billion dollars and a flying hour program of over 14,000 hours in support of high-priority global Joint Chiefs of Staff- directed taskings. The personnel under his command maintain all assigned and transient aircraft equipment, and develop maintenance plans supporting worldwide reconnaissance, intelligence and surveillance, Airborne Command Post, and National Airborne Operations Center missions.

Col Clement was born in Fayetteville, Ark., and grew up in Victoria, Texas. He enlisted in the Air Force in June 1989 as a Security Policeman. He went on to graduate from Texas A&M University and was commissioned in 1994. He has worked in numerous maintenance leadership positions at wing and staff level in Air Combat Command (ACC), United States Air Forces Europe (USAFE), United States Air Forces in Europe - Air Forces Africa (USAFE/AFAFRICA), Pacific Air Forces (PACAF), and Air Education and Training Command (AETC). He is married and has two children.
