Colonel Tracy Bozung, M.D.

Colonel Tracy K. Bozung is the Commander, 55th Medical Group, 55th Wing, Offutt Air Force Base, Nebraska. She is responsible for a four-squadron, 612-person health care delivery system providing care to more than 51,000 Department of Defense beneficiaries. She oversees the post-graduate education and training of more than 150 medical and dental personnel annually, to include the 55th Medical Group Family Medicine Residency and Dental Residency Programs. Additionally, she serves as the principal medical advisor to the 55th Wing Commander and is responsible for providing comprehensive health services to maintain the highest degree of readiness in support of contingency war mobilization and Homeland Defense plans for Offutt Air Force Base, 50 associate units, U.S. Strategic Command and the 557th Weather Wing.

Colonel Bozung was a distinguished graduate from the United States Air Force Academy in 2000. Dr. Bozung received her medical degree from the University of Michigan Medical School and her Masters of Public Health from Wright State University. She maintains board certifications in aerospace medicine and family medicine and has served as medical director for family and flight medicine clinics. Col Bozung was a senior physician on a joint Provincial Reconstruction Team in support of Operation Enduring Freedom and then served as the Deputy Director of the Pentagon Flight Medicine clinic. In addition to being the Chief of Aerospace Medicine at three medical facilities, she has had the honor of commanding two squadrons and a group and serving as a command surgeon at a numbered Air Force.

Colonel Bozung and her husband Tom have one son, Nathan.
