After seven years as FAO, new 755th OSS commander’s career comes full circle
At first glance of the new 755th Operations Support Squadron commander’s biography, you quickly see his assignment makes a lot of sense given his many years within the EC-130 Compass Call and 55th Electronic Combat Group community. However, if you dig a little deeper, it’s pretty clear that Lt. Col. Kabir Rao has led anything but a standard career with the jammers. From his start as an EC-130 electronic warfare officer in initial qualification training in 2006 to accepting the 755th OSS guidon in 2021, there is a seven-year period where he served with the Air Force Foreign Area Officer program.

This year marks the 20th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks on U.S. soil. It is a time to remember the courage of so many firefighters, paramedics, New York policemen and New York’s Port Authority Officers that sacrificed their lives to save others, and a time to honor the memory of all those who perished at Shanksville, Pennsylvania, the Pentagon and the Twin Towers.

Air Force delivers better fitting body armor for female defenders
The 55th Security Forces Squadron recently issued new body armor to Offutt defenders. What makes this piece of safety equipment special is it was designed to better protect females. For years, female defenders have worn the standard tactical vest issued to them. These standard vests come in different chest sizes and are basically flat. They were not designed with the female body frame in mind.
