Offutt's fire warriors
OFFUTT AIR FORCE BASE, Neb.- Derek Larson, a firefighter and driver engineer for the 55th Civil Engineering Squadron Fire Department, checks a fire truck's water and foam tanks as part of daily operational checks inside the Offutt Fire Station here Feb. 5. The two separate tanks containing 1,500 gallons of water and 500 gallons of foam combine with one another when dispersed through a hose which gives firefighters about two- and-a-half minutes of continuous fire fighting ability.
