Team Offutt hosts ACC's newest chiefs Published Dec. 31, 2009 By Senior Master Sgt. Carla R. Thornton 55th Wing Law Center OFFUTT AIR FORCE BASE, Neb. -- Air Combat Command's newest chief master sergeant selects visit Offutt Jan. 11 - 14 to attend the command's annual chiefs orientation. The orientation, designed to prepare the selectees for the Air Force's top enlisted rank, is expected to focus on the roles and responsibilities of a chief master sergeant and current updates on key enlisted programs, as well as provide a forum to discuss major ACC issues and concerns. "It's an incredible honor to host our command's newest chiefs," said Chief Master Sergeant Lisa A. Sirois, 55th Wing command chief. "The teamwork and coordination between the ACC command chief's office and the hand-selected committee from Team Offutt is what makes this annual event so successful." The orientation will be filled with valuable information on expectations of a chief, according to Chief Sirois. "It also provides an avenue for selectees to network and learn from each other's experiences, and encourages our chiefs to be engaged senior enlisted leaders. The chiefs will no doubt understand the criticality of setting and enforcing standards to accomplish the complex missions of our great Air Force," she said. "We welcome ACC's newest chiefs and wish each well as they return to their duty stations to care for and develop the Airmen they lead," Chief Sirois added. "We are very excited about bringing together over 120 chief master sergeants and chief master sergeant selectees from across the command to help better prepare them for the leadership challenges associated with wearing their newly earned stripes," said Chief Master Sgt. Martin Klukas, ACC command chief. "We owe a big thanks to Gen. (William) Fraser and the entire ACC team for their support of this orientation and we'd be remiss if we didn't thank the mighty 55th Wing for their Herculean efforts to host this event."
