OFFUTT AIR FORCE BASE, Neb. -- Updated Dec. 11, 2019 at 10 a.m.
A suspicious package was detected in a commercial vehicle approximately 8:45 a.m. Dec. 11, 2019 at the USSTRATCOM Gate 1 commercial vehicle search area.
The vehicle was going through a routine check before entering the base when a K-9 military working dog alerted personnel to the package.
The 55th Security Forces Squadron in conjunction with the Omaha Police Department investigated the situation and determined the package was not a threat.
