Brian Harness, a Reservist with the 139th Airlift Wing out of St. Joseph, Mo., takes his son Talon out on a boat. The Cast-a-Ways boathouse on the base Lake is now open. Summer hours of operation are Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. and weekends and holidays from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Come out to enjoy the lake and visit the boathouse for lunch, snacks, beverages, boat rentals, bait and camping.
