Chief Master Sergeant Jesse Lewandoski is the Senior Enlisted Leader, 55th Maintenance Group, Offutt AFB, Nebraska. He serves as the principle enlisted advisor to the Commander, 55th Maintenance Group, and leads 1,100 assigned active duty, civilian, and contract personnel to maintain and generate twenty-seven C-135 special mission aircraft and provide maintenance support to four E-4B National Airborne Operations Center aircraft worth 7.2 billion dollars. CMSgt Lewandoski provides counsel to the commander for organizing, training, equipping Airmen to execute command and control, intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance missions from any of the 55th Wing’s numerous forward operating locations around the world.
Chief Lewandoski hails from Perkasie, Pennsylvania and joined the Air Force in September 2000. Upon graduation from technical training in July 2001, where he began his career as a Communications and Navigation Systems Apprentice. He now has a broad range skillset from various aviation maintenance, management, and leadership roles on the B-52, E-3, B-1, E-7, E-8, E-9, E-11, EA-37, EC-130, P-9, and RC-135 platforms Throughout his career he has operated within several combat coded, field training, command and control, operational test and MAJCOM environments. He has experience as an Avionics Craftsman, Section Chief, Quality Assurance Inspector, Sortie Support Superintendent, Production Superintendent, Lead Production Superintendent, Weapons System Team and MAJCOM branch manager. Chief Lewandoski’s assignments include bases in Louisiana, Japan, Texas, Virginia and Nebraska. He has also served overseas in and several deployed locations in support of Operations NORTHERN WATCH, SOUTHERN WATCH, ENDURING FREEDOM, and IRAQI FREEDOM. Prior to his current position, the Chief was the Senior Enlisted Leader, 55 AMXS, Offutt AFB, NE.
