Offutt AFB Environmental Commitment Statement

Offutt AFB aspires for environmental protection while aligning with Offutt’s core mission to provide dominant intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance, electronic attack, and nuclear command and control to national leadership and warfighters. The primary installation environmental focus is environmental sustainability as the base moves forward to rebuild from the 2019 flood. The installation is committed to working with local community leaders to improve environmental conditions including the Papillion Creek Watershed partnership that addresses both water quality and quantity issues.

AIR FORCE MOLD POLICY

The Air Force is committed to providing a safe and healthy environment for its personnel. The Air Force Mold Policy outlines procedures for identifying, assessing, and remediating mold growth in Air Force facilities. To learn more about the policy and procedures, click HERE.

OFFUTT AFB RESTORATION PROGRAM

The Offutt AFB Restoration Program manages Offutt’s Resource Conservation and Recovery Act Hazardous Waste Permit. The permit includes requirements of land-use controls; inspections, implementing/monitoring remedies; and reporting to the Nebraska Department of Environment and Energy. The program's goal is to protect human health and the environment by identifying and cleaning up contaminated sites and restoring the base's natural resources for future generations.
