Fightin' 55th members deliver smiles to Omaha's Children's Hospital and Medical Center
Airman Evan Rios (left), a 55th Strategic Communications Squadron communications operator, and Master Sgt. Don Mitchell, a 55th Force Support Squadron manpower analyst, both stationed at Offutt AFB, NE, deliver a stuffed cow to Madeline Dougherty, 2, who is appropriately nicknamed ‘moo-moo’, during a visit to Children’s Hospital & Medical Center in Omaha, NE, Nov. 20. They were part of a group of 12 volunteers who delivered over 90 stuffed animals on behalf of the Air Force Sergeants Association, Chapter 984. The special Noah’s Ark Workshop animals included 64 monkeys, puppy dogs, bears and cows that were assembled by Offutt members. These animals included an internal pouch where patients could place a star after making a wish. All of the animals were made available through donations to Chapter 984 of the AFSA.
