The 25th Operational Weather Squadron (OWS) based at Davis-Monthan Air Force Base, Arizona, delivers decisive environmental information to create an asymmetric advantage for the United States, its allies, and mission partners across the Americas.
As a core component of the 1st Weather Group, the squadron provides authoritative, actionable weather analyses and threat mitigation for 56 Department of War sites throughout North, Central, and South America. This ensures commanders have the crucial information needed to protect personnel and resources from destructive weather, guaranteeing a ready force for homeland security. Furthermore, the 25 OWS generates combat power by deploying Airmen forward, providing direct support to meet Combatant Commander requirements.
The squadron actively enables multi-domain decision superiority by converging with Information Warfare units. By integrating global weather forecasting with current intelligence, the 25 OWS predicts and counters adversary behavior, exposes their intentions, and supports the nation's ability to compete and deter conflict.
