ALCS celebrates 50 years

Retired Maj. Gen. Robert Parker, the first commander to lead the Airborne Launch Control System in 1967, ceremoniously cuts the anniversary cake with a saber alongside Capt. Paul Bouvier, a missileer assigned to the 625th Strategic Operations Squadron, at the 50th Anniversary celebration held June 2. the Patriot Club, Offutt Air Force Base, Neb.
