Fightin’ Fifty-Fifth welcomes new commander
U.S. Air Force Maj. Gen. John N.T. Shanahan, 25th Air Force commander, hands the 55th Wing guidon to U.S. Air Force Col. Marty Reynolds, incoming commander, during the 55th Wing Change of Command inside Dock 1 of the Bennie Davis Maintenance Facility on Offutt AFB, Neb. June 1. As the 55th Wing commander, Reynolds is now responsible for organizing, training, and equipping six groups and 31 squadrons executing worldwide intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance; electronic attack; command and control; presidential support; and treaty verification missions. He is also responsible for base support to more than 50 associate units, including U.S. Strategic Command, Air Force Weather Agency, and more than 57,000 active-duty members, civilians, family members and retirees.
