Remembering Rosie
Kathryn Shudak is interviewed by Kevin Schwandt, 55th Wing Public Affairs videographer, inside of the 55th Civil Engineer’s conference room, located in the Glenn L. Martin Bomber building where she worked as one of many Rosie the Riveters during World War II. Shudak worked long hours in the plant driving the rivets into the B-29 Bombers and was given two 10-minute breaks and a 30-minute lunch, her only relief from working on her feet for the whole shift.
