Art, a gift for Veterans by Veterans

Troy Muller, an art and history teacher at Metropolitan Community College in Omaha places a descriptive name tag beneath a piece of art at the Fort Omaha Campus of Metro. This art illustrates the actual pieces of shrapnel pulled from body of Phillip Schladweiler after being wounded in Ramadi, Iraq in 2006. The 2014 Metro Military and Veteran Juried Art Exhibition at Metropolitan Community College’s Fort Omaha Campus, can be seen Monday through Thursday from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Saturday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. The exhibition will run through Dec. 6.
