Fire in Plattsmouth
Six Offutt firefighters with a ladder truck assisted the Plattsmouth Fire Department in responding to a fire at Plattsmouth's historic Waterman Opera House building on the morning of Jan. 3. Dozens of area firefighters battled the blaze throughout the cold temperatures, which caused the water to freeze as soon as it hit the concrete of the building. The Waterman Opera House was built in 1882 and was listed on the National Register of Historic Places. (Photo courtesy of Ryan Soderlin from the Omaha World-Herald)
