Renovations to historic Fort Crook building nearly complete

A postcard with an artist’s rendition of Building 40, which was built in 1894 at Fort Crook, Nebraska. The middle section was used for administrative space while the two wings were used as barracks that could accommodate up to 496 men. The middle section was destroyed by a fire in 1946, creating two separate buildings, Building 40 and Building 49. (Courtesy photo/55th Wing Historian)
