BELLEVUE, Neb.--Angie Wade, Operation Holiday Cheer volunteer and graphic designer with Bellevue Public Schools, adds fresh fruit to one of more than 800 holiday gift bags Dec. 15. The gift bags were distributed to Offutt Air Force Base Airmen, Soldiers, Sailors and Marines living in base dormitories. It took less than two hours for about 35 volunteers to fill the bags with everything from note pads and popcorn to candy and playing cards. Many of the bags also included personalized holiday cards made by students in local schools. This is the seventh year Bellevue Chamber of Commerce and area business have come together to spread a little holiday cheer to single military members at Offutt through Operation Holiday Cheer.
