Tour offers glimpse into the past

OFFUTT AIR FORCE BASE, Neb. - Lt Col. Chris L. Canada, 55th Wing director of staff, escorts Timothy K. Skipworth, son of Col. Billy L. Skipworth, who died in a Boeing EC-135N crash in the south pacific on June 13, 1971, during a tour of the Billy L. Skipworth Operations Center here May 23. Timothy was eight-years-old when his father died and the visit was his first since he was a young boy. Colonel Skipworth was the commander of the 2nd Airborne Command and Control Squadron.
