The 55th Wing celebrated a milestone last week as it reached the 6,000th day of continuous presence in the Southwest Asia area of responsibility. The streak began on Aug. 9, 1990 and was commemorated Jan. 11 in a ceremony at the Bennie L. Davis Maintenance Facility attended by members of Team Offutt, local civic leaders and news media. The achievement garnered international news coverage and proves once again that “The Fightin’ Fifty-Fifth leads the fight!” U.S. Air Force photo by Staff Sgt. James Harper.
