OFFUTT AIR FORCE BASE, Neb., -- Robert Finch, an aircraft mechanic with the 55th Maintenance Squadron isochronal phased inspection dock, inspects the engine lines of an RC-135 aircraft, during an isochronal inspection at the Bennie Davis Maintenance Facility here Oct. 23. In the isochronal phase inspection dock, approximately 40 people are responsible for ensuring Offutt's 135's are mission ready. The 55th Wing was recently awarded the Meritorious Unit Award, an honor that recognizes exceptionally meritorious conduct in the performance of outstanding achievement or service, in direct support of combat operations for at least 90 continuous days.
