OFFUTT AIR FORCE BASE, Neb. - Airman 1st Class Jonathan P. Allen, 55th Security Forces Squadron, carefully removes strings from an American flag at the parade grounds here as Airman Jared T. Schnell, holds the flag steady Oct. 28. The Airmen were part of a morning detail responsible for removing strings from all 26 flags that fly at the Offutt parade grounds. Both Airmen said it's important to ensure the American flag is well taken care of as its represents freedom and the sacrifices of all servicemembers past and present.
