OFFUTT AIR FORCE BASE, Neb. -- Brig. Gen. John N.T. Shanahan, 55th Wing commander, speaks at the Congressional Awards Medal Ceremony at the Bellevue Welcome Center in Bellevue, Neb., May 7. Congressman Lee Terry and Dr. John Deegan, Bellevue Public Schools superintendent also attended the ceremony. The award program offers young people the opportunity to set personal goals and work to achieve them. There are six levels of awards, which include bronze, silver and gold certificates and Medals.
