OFFUTT AIR FORCE BASE, Neb.- Numerous guests with Team Offutt were given a tour of the newly remodeled K-9 unit kennels, Nov. 18. TThe $1.3 million renovation comes well equipped giving the dogs a 10 foot by 14 foot space with private dog house, heated floors, separate isolation kennels for sick dogs and other medical treatment among many other modern amenities. This facility provides a quality and safe environment with ample space for the handlers and their partners which ultimately help the dogs and 55th Security Forces Squadron dog handlers complete the vast array of missions that support Offutt, local police agencies, local community and U.S. Secret Service.
