Cobra Ball

OFFUTT AIR FORCE BASE, Neb. - Thirty years to the day that Cobra Ball 61-2664 crashed upon landing in severe weather at Shemya Air Force Base, Alaska, taking the lives of six crew members, several survivors and their family and friends tour a modern day Cobra Ball aircraft located in Dock 1 of Offutt's Bennie Davis Maintenance Facility here March 15. They were on base for a memorial service at the 45th Reconnaissance Squadron headquarters, where a memorial stands to those who made the ultimate sacrifice.
