U.S. Air Force Col. Daniel Courtois, 55th Maintenance Group commander, and Lt. Col. Don Hunt, 55th Maintenance Operations Squadron commander, furl the 55th MOS' guidon during an inactivation ceremony July 2 inside the Bennie Davis Maintenance Facility Building on Offutt Air Force Base, Neb. The inactivation of the 55th MOS is part of an Air Force-wide effort to make available additional field grade officers. For more than 10 years, the 55th MOS managed deployment readiness and maintenance training, including formal, ancillary and on-the-job training, for the maintenance group's 1,100 airmen.
