The University of Nebraska at Omaha, Neb., is opening the Dr. C.C. and Mabel L. Criss Library for use to all Team Offutt personnel, regardless of enrollment in the school.

Interested service members and civilians can gain check-out privileges by visiting the library and creating a new account at the circulation desk. Applicants will be asked to present a base ID.

“We are honored and proud that we can offer our military community access to these resources,” said David Richards, dean of library services. “I’m grateful for the hard work of all our staff in making this happen. We all hope Offutt personnel take advantage of the tremendous resources that Criss Library has to offer.”

The library includes access and check-out privileges to all of UNO’s more than 700,000 print titles and 500,000 electronic titles, DVDS, CDs and media equipment.

Service members and civilians will also have access to the research help desk, laptop and iPad use and computer labs with full access to nearly 300 searchable databases.

The library is open from 7 a.m. to 12 a.m. Monday through Thursday, 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and 12 p.m. to 12 a.m. Sunday.

The library is located on University Drive North, next to the Durham Science Center.
