Individual press releases will be issued concerning each event early next week, but, for planning purposes, I have listed them below. The forthcoming press releases will have in-depth details about the individual events.

Arrival of F-22 & F-35 Demonstration Teams: The headliners of the 2018 Offutt Defenders of Freedom Air and Space Show arrive. After landing and speaking to any media who may want interviews, the crews are scheduled to speak at Logan Fontenelle Middle School (1:45 p.m. to 2:10 p.m.); Bellevue Mission Middle School (2:30 p.m. to 3 p.m.); Elkhorn South High School (tentative) and Elkhorn High (tentative) on teamwork and leadership.

Sarpy County Sheriff Patrol Vehicle Unveiling: Sarpy County Sheriff will unveil a patrol car dedicated to the U.S. military. The Sarpy County Sheriff’s Office will issue a release/invite.

Practice Air Show: As part of a full-scale rehearsal of the air show, Team Offutt hosts members of the Wounded Warrior Foundation, Make-A-Wish-Foundation, Exceptional Family Member Program and individuals with special needs for a practice air show each year. Attendees are scheduled to arrive at 10:30 a.m. followed by remarks from the wing commander and flying starts at noon.

* Lt. Jarvis Offutt 100th anniversary memorial event begins at 3:30 p.m. on the flightline including a Missing-man aircraft formation flyover, U.S. flag folding ceremony and presentation to Lt. Offutt’s surviving family.

Offutt Wreath Laying: representatives from the Royal Air Force and 55th Wing will lay a wreath at Lt. Jarvis Offutt’s gravestone with his surviving family present.
