MyMC2 App -- is where it’s at Published April 15, 2016 55th Wing Public Affairs OFFUTT AIR FORCE BASE, Nebraska -- It is called My Military Communities 2, or MyMC2, and when it comes finding information on Offutt-related events, this free app is where it’s at. Multiple organizations across Offutt Air Force Base, Neb., have come together to combine their events into one simple-to-use smart phone app. MyMC2 has features other apps simply don’t have. The first is how you can change the setting from one base to another. For example, if you PCS from Langley Air Force Base, Va., to Offutt, all you have to do is open the app, go to settings and change it from Langley to Offutt. The app was developed by the 375th Communication Support Squadron’s web application development team at Scott Air Force Base, Ill. The app pulls event listings from organizational Facebook pages that are officially associated with the base and consolidates them into one place. It also lists several telephone numbers for base organizations. The app opens up to a main page which lists upcoming base events. Click on one to get more information or simply scroll down to see all that is being offered. Users then have the option to narrow or expand their search by organizational or event type categories. Numerous other bases are also using the app, making it convenient for when Airmen need to go TDY or PCS. All official units and organizations on base are encouraged to contact the 55th Wing Public Affairs office to link their official Facebook accounts to the Offutt application.
