"Assuming the rank of staff sergeant and entering into the non-commissioned officer corps is a significant milestone in the lives of these Airmen," said U.S. Air Force Chief Master Sgt. Matthew Grengs, 55th Wing command chief. "This promotion is a big deal, one that comes with increased responsibility and even more opportunity to make a difference that matters in our Air Force. Congratulations to our newest selects. Your hard work and dedication has paid off!"
