Annual OAC Appreciation Picnic is June 5 Published May 21, 2015 55th Wing Public Affairs OFFUTT AIR FORCE BASE, Neb. -- The Offutt Advisory Council's annual Offutt Appreciation Day Picnic is Friday, June 5, at the Offutt Base Lake. The picnic, which will run from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., is open to all Offutt personnel and their families. Shuttles will run from the lower parking lot of U.S. Strategic Command to the base lake from 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. There will also be shuttles specifically for dorm residents to and from the dormitory area with the pick-up area being by the dining facility. There will be free food, drinks, a rock climbing wall, bouncy castles, petting animals from the Henry Doorly Zoo and face painting. There will be prize giveaways and the band "Out of the Fire" will be performing live. Limited parking will be available at the lake, but people are advised to use the shuttle service in order to avoid traffic congestion. As a reminder, backpacks or coolers are not allowed at the picnic. We also ask that you leave your pet at home due to strict food safety guidelines and for respect to other patrons. The OAC and the community surrounding Offutt have graciously hosted this picnic for the Team Offutt community for more than 20 years.
