Security forces team beautifies Kenney Gate Published July 10, 2015 OFFUTT AIR FORCE BASE, Neb. -- The Security Forces Association, who is the 55th Security Forces Squadron's booster club, recently teamed up with members of Home Depot to help beautify the Kenney Gate. Roughly 12 members of the association cleaned out flower beds, pulled weeds and trimmed bushes along with seven Home Depot employees, who used this opportunity as part of their quarterly public service and outreach effort. "It's absolutely fantastic work by the Security Forces Association private organization stepping up to take care of the Kenney Gate," said U.S. Air Force Col. Charles Kuhl, 55th Mission Support Group commander. "They adopted this area for the base pride initiative started by our former command chief and it was great timing with the re-opening of the gate." Home Depot provided mulch, soil, fertilizer, weed barrier and some flowers while the Security Forces Association provided additional manpower. "Our squadron had adopted this area, so we want to make sure visitors have a great first impression when visiting Offutt," said. U.S. Air Force Lt. Col. Ted Breuker, 55th SFS commander. "The combined team did a great job out there. It looks really sharp."
