OFFUTT AIR FORCE BASE, Neb. -- The Greater-Omaha community and Team Offutt partnered to bring the Defenders of Freedom Air & Space Show 2026 to life for locals to witness what’s the behind the gates of Offutt Air Force Base, Nebraska.
Local law enforcement, fire departments, emergency medical services, and SWAT partnered and trained with their military counterparts to extend capabilities and services of keeping the air show attendees safe.
The first responders patrolled the areas to offer aid to those who needed assistance and were on standby to rapidly react to an emergency.
The open house also provided an opportunity for military and civic leaders to connect and forge relationships that could result in the betterment of the community.
Service members were able to connect with visitors and showcase their mission to provide insight into their operations.
