The 55th Wing held a change of responsibility ceremony June 5, 2026, inside the Bennie L. Davis Maintenance Facility at Offutt Air Force Base, Neb. This ceremony marked only the second change of responsibility the wing has conducted in its history.
During the ceremony, Chief Master Sgt. Andrew Small, whose background includes communications and cyberspace warfare operations, relinquished responsibility as the command chief of Air Combat Command’s largest wing. The incoming command chief, Chief Master Sgt. Alex Eudy, previously served as the 353rd Special Operations Wing command chief in Japan. Eudy now serves as the 55th Wing commander’s principal advisor, helping lead more than 7,700 personnel across six groups and 30 squadrons worldwide. (U.S. Air Force photos by Charles J. Haymond)
