Chief Master Sergeant Robert L. Hopkins, Sixteenth Air Force, Air Forces Cyber command chief, visited Offutt Air Force Base on May 29, 2024.

Hopkins visited Airmen at the Airmen Leadership School early in the day, conducting a round table breakfast focusing on tomorrow’s leaders and what roles they take in the evolution of modern warfare.

“I’m out here to help reinforce leadership’s lessons, help generate combat capabilities in the great power competition,” said Chief Hopkins. ”It’s all about the shift in our operational environment to posture our force in GPC.”

Chief Hopkins made additional stops around the installation to meet with Airmen at the Operations Group, Communications Group, and Maintenance Group, as well as meet with senior enlisted leaders to discuss manning issues as well as immersion in various capabilities around the Wing.

“We’re really excited that Chief Hopkins is here,” said Chief Master Sgt. Melissa Royster, 55th Wing command chief. “It’s a great opportunity to showcase the Airmen and their talents and what they bring to a very diverse mission. It’s going to be good for him since it is his first visit to Offutt and get some hands-on opportunities to engage with the Airmen and see them in action.”
