OFFUTT AIR FORCE BASE, Neb. -- John Hansen, president of the Offutt Advisory Council, presents a check for $8,000 to Chief Master Sgt. Lisa Sirois, 55th Wing command chief master sergeant. Chief Sirois accepted the check on behalf of the Offutt Chief?s Group. Each year, the OAC hosts a Harvest Ball fundraiser with proceeds donated to the chief?s group for the benefit of all base personnel. The Offutt Advisory Council was established in 1992 to educate the community about the mission and needs of organizations at Offutt, especially the 55th WG; to promote the morale, welfare and education of Offutt personnel and their families; and to enhance and improve facilities and assets on Offutt. The biggest event hosted by the OAC is the annual Offutt Appreciation Day picnic, set for June 5 this year.
