Check mate
FORT BENNING, Ga. -- Tech. Sgt. Jason Mueller of the 55th Wing's 42nd Electronic Combat Squadron at Davis-Monthan Air Force Base, Az., recently claimed second place at the 2009 Armed Forces Interservice Chess Tournament here. Sergeant Mueller had five wins and two draws overall and helped the Air Force captured the team title. Sergeant Mueller will now represent the U.S. Armed Forces at the NATO Chess Championship, scheduled for June 15-19 in Hammelburg, Germany. Scheduled to represent the U.S. Armed Forces will be: Navy Petty Officer First Class Benjamin Barquin, Army Spc. Jose Silva, Sergeant Mueller, Army Pfc. Pieta Garrett, Marine Master Gunnery Sgt. James Adkins, and Tech Sgt. Nathaniel Ola.
