Offutt will host its annual Retiree Appreciation Day Oct. 17 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Offutt Field House, giving retirees from the local area and across the Heartland an opportunity to renew their government identification cards, get flu shots, tour the base and get briefings from Tricare and the Department of Veterans Affairs among other activities.

The event is open to all military retirees, regardless of branch of service, and their spouses, to include surviving spouses. There will be booths offering information and services from numerous base agencies and pertinent organizations to include the base pharmacy, immunizations clinic, Tricare, the VA, the Airman and Family Readiness Center, and many others.

Shuttles will also be available to take participants to the customer service section to renew their ID cards and the legal office to update wills and other legal concerns. The King Dining Facility will be open for lunch until 1:30 p.m.

All briefings will be videotaped the first time they are given and then played after the initial briefings are over for those who missed them.

For more information about Retiree Appreciation Day, call the Retiree Affairs Office at (402) 294-2590.
