OFFUTT AIR FORCE BASE, Neb. - Lt. Col. Mitchell Maddox, 55th Mission Support Group deputy commander, gives opening remarks in front of the extensively remodeled K-9 kennel prior to the formal ribbon cutting and tour, Nov. 18. The $1.3 million renovation project comes well equipped, giving the dogs a 10 foot by 14 foot space with private dog house, heated floors, separate isolation kennels for sick dogs and other medical treatment among many other modern amenities.
