Offutt Air Force Base will take part in Nebraska’s Official Veterans Day Parade Nov. 6, 2021, in Olde Towne Bellevue.

The parade will begin at 10:00 a.m. with a flyover by TC-135 aircraft. During this year’s parade, the Bellevue Chamber of Commerce will honor one military veteran as its grand marshal and another individual will be honored as its Home Town Hero.

Retired Air Force Maj. Gen. Michael Kudlacz is this year’s grand marshal, and Terry Ingram is the hometown hero. Kudlacz was born in Omaha and attended the University of Nebraska. In January 2020, Ingram pulled three men out of a car filling with freezing water near Harlan Lewis Road.

Senior Airman Aliyah Richling, a vocalist from the U.S. Air Force Heartland of America Band headquartered at Offutt, will sing the national anthem.

The parade will have classic cars, floats and military members marching in formation and will start on Mission Avenue at Jackson Street. Those participating in the parade will travel east and pass a reviewing stand near the Bellevue Little Theatre. They will then make a left on Franklin Street and end at Washington Park.

The Veterans Day parade is open to all who want to attend and is expected to conclude at approximately 11 a.m.
